One of the great things about Los Angeles is that everything is cheap. Take this yogurt patbingsu (Korean shaved ice with frozen yogurt) at Cherry on Top. In NYC, it would have been $8 minimum. In LA, it was $3.50! Plus at the Little Tokyo location, they had old school video games like Mario Bros. you could play for free. Perfect for keeping yogurt-hating boyfriends busy while you eat.
Another late night eat: plain slice ($2.75) from Stromboli on 1st Ave, extra hot. I asked them to cut it in half for me and David, but strangely, David didn’t want any. Yes!!! More for me.
Late night curry udon ($9.50) at Sapporo East. So delicious at 1am, but completely regretting it this morning.

The pecan ring from Palisades Park Bakery is a dessert staple at my parents’ house. It’s a big pecan studded, sugar icing drizzled danish-like pastry cut crossways and layered with light Bavarian cream. Great for breakfast or whenever. For us, it’s usually whenever.

David’s spaghetti from Pastel at Food Gallery 32 came with meyuck (seaweed) soup, kimchi, and a salad with thousand island dressing. Can’t say it was good, but definitely interesting.
Met my vegetarian friend for lunch. Breakfast called for a bacon doughnut from Cafe Dulce. (Taken with instagram)
